STARS RALLY

Each year in July since 1978, the S.T.A.R.S have held a scale Rally. It is one of the largest Radio Controlled Model Aircraft
Scale Rallys in New York state and, to the best of our knowledge, it was the first to feature Giant Scale Model aircraft.
Our Rally is held at the Cattaraugus County / Olean Airport. During the Rally, the airport is closed to full-scale aircraft
activity in order to allow the R/C pilots full access to the skies over the 2000+ ft. grass runway. The Rally has attracted
modelers from all over the United States and from foreign countries, especially Canada. It features hundreds of different
types and sizes of scale aircraft, and in recent years has included evening flying of electric models.
