Current Activities and Projects
by Jamie Bowen
Here are three of Jamie's
latest projects
Jamie has constructed a computer controlled foam cutting machine.

He draws the profile he needs using a computer aided drafting program
called CadWorks.  He then imports the cad file into FoamWorks which is
the program that controls his foam cutting machine.

You can visit the
FoamWork web site to see details and tutorials of how this
process works.

Jamie also makes his own magnetic actuators for his micro sized planes.

Below are photos of the automatic coil winder he has made, which includes a
turn counter.
You can visit the
RCGroups forum to see more details of how to make your own
coils for these micro actuators.
Jamie is currently designing an adjustable airplane storage rack.

The photo below shows the mounting end of an adjustable arm that fastens to
a vertical metal strut mounted to the wall.  These arms can then be adjusted to
conform to your particular airplane fuselage and/or wing.  More details will be
added as this project progresses.
